In this webinar, Derek L. Gregoire, addresses a critical mistake he sees many pre-retirees make while planning for retirement: Improper Asset Allocation. This refers to dividing your investments among asset classes, such as stocks and bonds. FAQs
Why should I make an appointment with SHP Financial?
Many people have a financial advisor and still choose to visit with us for a second opinion. We find that other financial advisors may only focus on investments, or they are not helping their clients with other important retirement issues such as saving on taxes, planning for future health care costs and protecting their assets. During your initial meeting, we’ll discuss your potential needs in these areas. We’ll also take a second look at your financial accounts to provide you with a fee and risk analysis. There is no cost for this meeting and no obligation on your part to do business with us.
What are your credentials and background?
All our advisors are all Series 65, or equivalent, licensed. As fiduciary advisors, we’re required to disclose conflicts of interest, operate with full transparency and always do what is in the best interest of our clients. Additionally, we have multiple Certified Financial Planners™, Certified Tax Specialists™ and Certified Investment Management Analysts® on the team. You can find individual bios for each advisor on our website at shpfinancial.com.
Is SHP Financial limited to specific companies?
We use both Charles Schwab and Fidelity Investment as custodians for managed money. On the insurance end of our business, we are independent. We believe that each investor is unique, and no single company is right for everyone. Our goal is to serve you by using the best tools and strategies available.
How do I schedule a time to visit with the advisors at SHP Financial?
You can schedule your visit by calling our office at 508-746-2400 or by visiting our website at shpfinancial.com.
What can I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit is a fact-finding discussion. We will analyze your current financial situation by reviewing with you all of the information you provide. By talking with you and identifying your specific areas of concern, we will be able to determine your needs and goals and make recommendations that are tailored to you.
What should I bring to my first visit with SHP?
While you are not required to bring anything to your first visit, it would be helpful if you bring the following:
- Your latest financial statements: mutual funds, CDs, life insurance policies, annuity policies, retirement accounts, trusts, etc.
- A copy of your latest tax return.
- Your completed SHP Retirement Road Map® Questionnaire that you will receive before your visit.
- Your questions and concerns.
What are my obligations after my first visit?
There is absolutely no cost or obligation to have your first visit. If we both agree that we could add value to your situation, we will schedule a second visit. If we decide not to move forward, we part as friends.
Where is SHP Financial located?
Our main office is located at 225 Water St., Suite C210, Plymouth, Massachusetts. We also have fully staffed offices in Hyannis and Woburn.
What are your office hours?
Our offices are open Monday – Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Most client meetings are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays during this time, but after hours or late appointments are available by request.
Are you a member of the Better Business Bureau?
Yes, we are. We have qualified for this program based upon meeting and maintaining Standards of Trust criteria. Being a member indicates our commitment to high ethical business standards and advertising practices.
